Perfect for runners looking to experience the thrill of high mountain terrain, our one-day skyrunning course is an intensive introduction to the sport. Based in one of the UK’s stunning upland regions, the day combines practical skills with hands-on guidance from qualified mountaineering instructors.
You’ll cover safe movement over technical ground, efficient uphill and downhill techniques, basic navigation, and how to choose the right kit for mountain conditions. The day will be spend on grade 1 -2 scrambling ground looking at ascending and descending skills.

Based in the Lake District, we explore classic ridgelines and rocky ground where you’ll learn how to handle exposure safely, move efficiently on scrambles, and navigate high-level terrain with confidence. You’ll also develop essential techniques for pacing, footwork, descending, and staying in control on challenging ground.
